Freehold is two places in one. There’s the historic borough, the county seat, with Victorian homes on tree-lined streets near Main Street and the old Monmouth County Courthouse. Then there’s Freehold Township wrapped around it, full of suburban developments and bigger custom homes stretching out toward Route 9 and the Raceway Mall.
